This is one of the first questions patients ask, and the honest answer is that it depends on your plan. Insurance benefits vary, and they can vary between services within the same plan.
What we accept
Palm Springs Urology Medical Group accepts Medicare and certain PPO insurance plans. Accepting an insurance plan does not mean shockwave therapy itself is automatically covered under that plan.
Consultation coverage and treatment coverage are different
- Coverage for an erectile dysfunction consultation or diagnostic evaluation may differ from coverage for shockwave therapy
- Plan design, deductibles and service-level rules all affect what you pay
- Some services may be considered patient responsibility
How to get a clear answer
Our team can help review the benefits available under your plan and explain anticipated costs before any treatment is scheduled. The simplest way to start is to request a call back or phone the office, and we will walk through it with you.
Coverage questions are routine here. Nobody should have to guess at cost while deciding whether to be evaluated.
